Wild Mustangs

Stumble It!

Animals older than ten who have not been adopted after three tries can be sold to slaughter for pet food or exporting the meat for human consumption. Unfortunately the adoptable horses usually outnumber people willing to adopt them.

The plight of the Wild Mustang is highlighted in the film Hidalgo, the story of Frank Hopkins who championed the plight of the Spanish Mustang in the 1890’s through his death in 1951. Hidalgo was released in 2004 starring Viggo Mortensen.
